During the week of May 7 -11 the WDBCO and OhioMeansJobs Columbus-Franklin County, will be hosting a series of community events for students and job seekers to learn more about the rewarding and high-demand careers available locally and connect job seekers to employers who are hiring. These events are a part of a statewide initiative directed by the Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services.
In-Demand Jobs Week is a celebration of jobs, industries and skills that are in-demand* in Ohio. Community leaders statewide are encouraged to partner to plan engaging events and activities that will inspire excitement and awareness among students and job seekers. There are more than 200 occupations in Ohio that are considered “in demand” based on labor market information our goal is to connect job seekers to employment opportunities in our community.
Our events will provide a multi generation approach to examining occupations in the following In-Demand industries: Health, Information Technology, Manufacturing, Culinary, and Hospitality. We have identified workforce activities that appeal to every generation.
All Events are free for parents and youth!
